Homemade Toothpaste and Mouthwash
Homemade toothpaste and mouthwash are nontoxic and affordable.
Good oral health is important, but commercial toothpaste and mouthwashes can contain ingredients that increase the price and may even be of questionable safety. Fluoride, for example, is added to toothpaste to prevent cavities, but it is not recommended for all people and can be toxic in high doses.
Commercial toothpaste can also contain an antibacterial agent called triclosan, which the FDA has removed from antibacterial soaps. The solution to these problems is to make homemade toothpaste and mouthwashes out of safe and inexpensive ingredients.

- 2 drops tea tree essential oil
- 2 tsp. baking soda
Instructions:
- Mix the ingredients in a small jar or container.
